Jean-Jacques Walter is a mining engineer from the prestigious Ecole des Mines de Paris, and president of the Zellidja Foundation, which every year offers scholarships to bold and deserving young people to enable them to travel the world. But above all he is an extraordinary scholar who has written about ten books and many articles, on extra-terrestrial life, the art market, retirement pensions, totalitarian regimes, and religions, in particular on Islam. He deals with all these subjects with the logic, the clarity and the precision of an engineer.
Having read the Koran in 3 different editions, he is capable of quoting surahs dealing with this or that subject, as he did recently in a letter to members of parliament during the dispute on the wearing of the Islamic veil.
Jean-Jacques Walter did us the honour of being the speaker at the dinner-debate on 16th February 2008 on the following topic : "Understanding Islam".
